Your reported milestones

Use yes/no milestones only. Do not enter a child's name, Social Security number, or account number.

What the federal pilot requires

Under the proposed IRS rules, the $1,000 pilot contribution is for an eligible U.S. citizen child born in 2025 through 2028 who has a valid Social Security number and no previously processed pilot request.

What “awaiting deposit” means

Treasury may make the contribution no earlier than July 4, 2026, after the election is processed and the designated trustee has opened the account. The rules do not provide a guaranteed date for an individual child.
