Common questions
Is my data private?
Yes. All calculations happen in your browser. No dollar figures are sent to our servers, and we never log or store your financial inputs. The share link encodes your data in the URL itself so you control it entirely.
How is the score calculated?
Six weighted signals: emergency cushion (25%), debt health (20%), savings rate (20%), net worth vs. age (15%), investment allocation (10%), and retirement track (10%). Missing inputs are excluded and the remaining weights are renormalized, so partial entries still produce a fair score.
What does my archetype mean?
Your archetype is a pattern label, not a grade. It describes the shape of your finances right now. The same archetype at 25 and 45 looks very different. The percentile comparison is age-adjusted using Federal Reserve data, which makes it meaningful regardless of where you are in your career.
How accurate is the percentile comparison?
It uses the Federal Reserve Survey of Consumer Finances (2022), the gold standard for U.S. household wealth data. It compares net worth within your age band, the most meaningful single comparison available in public data.
Does this affect my credit score?
No. We never pull credit data. The tool only uses numbers you type in. No Social Security number, bank login, or credit inquiry of any kind.
