Are transfer bonuses worth it?

Only if the destination redemption is worth more than the points would be worth otherwise, after accounting for taxes, carrier fees, and whether award space actually exists for the flight or hotel you want. A high headline percentage does not guarantee a good deal — check availability and fees before transferring.

Are point and mile transfers reversible?

No. Once points leave your card program and land in an airline or hotel account, the transfer is final in almost every case. Confirm the award you want is bookable before you transfer.
